Radio Upgrades... Let see them.

I'm running a Kenwood DNX892, specifically for Garmin GPS. It's great not relying on a cell phone and data connection for navigation. I don't have a good picture of it, currently, but I love it.

What dash kit is that? I had to cut mine to make it usable.

So I actually took that picture before I used a dash kit. The pioneer fits without it, but there were 2 small gaps on each side that crutch field didn't tell me about. So now I have the dash kit from metra 95-8202. I didn't have to cut anything and it fit pretty much perfect

Pioneer AVH-3600



Was the least expensive double-din unit with BT and HD radio (at least when I bought it last year). As you can see, I also wired in a backup camera, which has worked great.

Overall I like it. It sounds great, and the BT integration with my Android phone works like a champ for phone calls and Pandora streaming. My only gripe is that the volume control buttons are a bit of a PITA. In hindsight, I should have spent a bit more to get a HU with a good old-fashioned rotary knob for volume and tuning.

Go for it. Extremely simple install, just screws onto each side. It's a tight fit with everything but it looks good

Here is the Clarion CX501 that I got back when I had an f150. I transferred it over. Love this stereo. It has built in microphine, bluetooth, cd, aux, it's sat ready, custom led backlight, etc...... best of all, it was only about $150. They have a newer version now I'm thinking of getting.....the CX505

Can someone recommend me the cheapest touchscreen unit that I will be able to watch hbogo/Netflix etc on? Whether it be from BT or screen mirroring or whatever. I'm clueless with this latest technology stuff.

Went the cheaper route and I think it looks close to OEM in its style. Blaupunkt New Jersey. Has basic bluetooth and built in mic for hands free. That's enough for me.

I like it. Is the color changeable?

I noticed in these pics of the radio you posted that you're fan speed selector switch in your climate control doesn't light up. This is the knob all the way on the left, with the HI, LOW and a couple of circles that don't light up. Did yours happen after you installed the radio? That's what happened to me. Does anyone know what causes this? Any ideas how to fix it? From what I've gathered it's just one bulb behind there so it can't just be that the bulb burnt out.

I'm actually in the process of installing a pioneer 4100nex. There are two antenna looking plugs that come out of the stock unit and only one port on the new head unit for the bigger of the two plugs. Can anyone tell me if I only use the one plug? Also I'm getting poor reception. Any input or anyone have pictures they can post of their install.
