Rally Runners?

For starters, I just picked up a 1991 4runner, 3.0 auto for 500 bucks. Everything in it is pretty complete, has a little bit of body damage though. I do not really have a use for it, as I already have enough cars. I decided I would maximize my profits and part it out. BUT FIRST, I want to have a little fun with it.

And that is where my other hobby comes in. Rallying cars off road. I was first introduced this from a friend who has a track on his property. Rallying consists of drifting around trees, other cars and going off jumps. When the car is on the verge of collapse, I go off one final jump. Pretty much, you buy a cheap car and run it til it dies. Once its dead, you sell the parts, scrap the rest and hope you break even. Here is a video of my last rally rig.

So I was wondering, does anyone else rally cars? Or 4runners for that matter?

Fog and I did a lot of that on Monday while we were mobbing through some of the main trails in the Rainbow Falls area. :lookout:

I will buy the trim that goes around the sunroof button if its grey.

I saw that 4 runner on craigslist for a long time.

It was my friend trying to trying to sell it for his dad. He got tired of trying to sell it and I told him i would give him 5 so he took it.

I dont remember if it even has a sun roof. I will get back to you about it.

I don't rally yet, but I've been waiting for a $500 runner to come along that I can slap a cage in and take out to the Lucas Oil regional races at our motorsports park.

I'll be sure and post up if I can make it happen. :D

Used to Rally while working for a major auto-auction chain, actually even placed pretty high on a consistent basis and from time to time I do find the chance to play around a little bit. I need to find the time and energies to get back into it if possible just my back prevents it now. It was good times while it lasted though, somewhere on the internet there's even a clip of me rolling my longbed S-10 from coming out of a switchback a little too hot and catching the right side drainage ditch and hillside. Good times. :D

IIRC Corax is building himself up a pretty nice Celica and uses his rig for race support.
