Rancho 5000 vs. Bilstein HDs

So, I need to replace the shocks on my 1994, or at least the rear ones. The two I am looking at are the Rancho 5000s and Bilstein HDs. I hear good and bad about both, so I was wondering if anyone had any insight? I hear the Rancho's are okay durability and aren't so stiff when they first go in and a big plus is NAPA is running a buy 3 get 1 free deal on them right now. On the other hand, the Bilsteins seem pretty hard to top for durability, but are much more expensive and I've read a lot of complaints online where people didn't like them because they were just too stiff.

Any thoughts? And are there any other shocks I should be looking at? Thank you in advance!

That's opposite from what you normally hear. Bils usually provide a better ride than Rancho's.

If you want a good ride and handling, check out Old Man Emu.
