Random question: interior handle on rear hatch in 5th gen

I didn't see another post on this. This is my 3rd 4Runner and my first that doesn't have a way to close the rear hatch easily while inside the car. Seems like a mistake to me, but I camp in my 4Runner a fair bit. Are there any solutions others have found? I am looking for a little inspiration. Thanks in advance.

It should have the handle loop on the right side unless the previous owner removed it.

The glass makes it so you cant have a handle, but you can add a switch to open

There has never been one, the rear panel has speakers but no other recess for a strap.

How about a pic of your rear gate interior? That will solve any question.

I doubt the difference between a 2wd and a 4wd would be this. Maybe you have aftermarket interior trim there?

He has an SR5 though... at least that is what is says in his sig and the part I listed is for an SR5.

You are correct thought that there are differences with Limited versus the SR5 and Trail trims, like dual climate control and push button liftgate window controls, ect.

My 2011 Limited has no provision for the strap. Anyone with my panel add one?

I had to pop my rear panel cover off for another issue and there were several metal support spots you could add a strap to.
