so anyways ive been having some issues with my t4r lately started as p304 code misfire on cylinder 4. so i did the typical changes of plugs wires coil packs etc and didnt work, so i ended up getting some new injectors actually refurbished ones, and put them in, it took away the CE light but they are faulty, because they leak fuel into the cylinder causing rough starts, so its kinda frustrating. Anywho the guy who owned the vehicle before me always serviced it at toyota and my buddy showed me on the toyota website you can see all previous records of your vehicle that happend at a toyota dealership. Funny thing is i looked up the vehicle history and 2 years ago at the milage of 74000, they took the car in with a CE light that was code p304, in which they changed the plugs wires and coil pack. i bought the car with 75000 on it(they didnt drive the car alot) and well now it came back i think its kinda ****ty that the dealership didnt even get to the root of the problem because i really do believe its the injector, i did all the other stuff myself, and only the injector change caused the code to go away. Now im pretty much out 500 bucks and i still have to find out which injector(s) is/are bad and have to switch them out. :( i know this is alot of crap, but i figured id just vent.

also im probably gonna rhino line my bumpers soon, i figure im gonna do a black and white thing, just take all the chrome off. also im going to paint the emblems black. anybody know of any good roof racks that arent too expensive, i want something i can put some lights on eventually and carry a tire and a high lift jack. i dont have any jack points for my t4r yet that i can see, but my pops bought me a high lift for christmas lol guess im gonna have to buy some sliders and a hopefully an addicted offroad bumper someday.

another quick question, i want to paint my wheels black any advice? and will i have to balance them afterwards?

sorry bout the rambling, will start a build thread and update pics soon

paragraphs man, paragraphs.

if you paint your wheels right, you'll need to remove the weights, paint and rebalance.

I guess you haven't tackled the injector job again?? I'm waiting on you to break ground on this one!! :)

Also waiting on parts for my Valve Cover Gasket replacement job! Aircabinman....please hurry!!! ;)

well fightman, i re did the injectors, found one with what looked like a pinched o ring. anyways, took me a while to get it all figured out. anyways i started it, let it get hot, then turned it off let it sit for 2 hours or so, and still it gave me a hard start so i drove it around, im gonna crack open the banjo bolt on the fuel rail tommorow morning and see if theres still pressure in the fuel system, if not its definitely the injectors and i will call that place and see bout getting some new ones. if its not the injectors idk what it could be.

And about the whole wheel weights lol, totally spaced on that lol.

Thanks for the info man! You wouldn't still have the old injectors would you?? I'm planning on swapping out all of them, and leaving one refurbed one in there...to see how it goes.....

Keep me posted on your progress though...I've subscribed. ;)
