Hi guys. I'm going to sell my '94 SR5 soon. I found an '88 Range Rover for a very low price. Does anyone have any experience with these things?

The Range Rover Classics were pretty good, the ZF transmission (auto) is pretty good, and the 3.5 V8 (Carb) or 3.9l (fuel injected) is a bit heavy on gas but as long as you check the oil level fairly regularly its a fairly reliable. Im not gonna say its a gonna be the most reliable vehicle you own, as its a 22 year old Land rover, it will probably throw a code once in a while, but overall they were great vehicles, as Range Rover Classics were made for 25 years on the same body style.
Great thing about getting parts for them is that the motor/drivetrain and many other components were shared with the Defenders, and the Discovery Series 1, so parts should be plentiful and cheap if you run into issues.
I doubt you'll get any unbias posts here as it is a Toyota forum, try expedition portal or somewhere else. I tried to make mine as unbias as possible as there is no reason to swing you the wrong way on trying to get a solid driving vehicle.

Well, John, I bought it today. I got him down to $500 cash. The body is rust free (rare for Idaho). It has an injected V-8. It says 3.5 on the sticker. This is a little confusing, as I thought only the 3.9 was injected. It does have the usual electrical issues (seats, heater, etc). It does need one rear side window replaced. Overall, I think it's solid. It rides way better than my '99 4Runner ever thought of doing.

Watch the rear hatch for rust, that is one of the most common issues with the RRC. I know you can get Fuel Injector kits for them, i wouldnt worry too much about it as fuel injectors are better IMO than carbs, but the 3.9 and 3.5 are very similar as they are all a 40+ year old Buick aluminun V8 design, many vehicles owned by Rover used the motor. That seems like a good price, sounds like you got a good deal and suspension works nicely. Good luck.
I know seats from Disco 1's fit in the Defender, so you may be able to get a set from a Disco 1, but dont hold me too that.
Just Found this on Wikipedia:
"Petrol-fuelled Range Rovers were fitted with carburettors until 1986, when they were replaced by Lucas electronic fuel injection,[8] improving both performance and fuel economy. Some export markets retained carburettors, with the original Zenith/Stromberg manufactured units being replaced by Skinners Union (SU)-manufactured items."
