Wish I could but I will just be getting back from a week-long beach trip and that would be too much to ask to go back out on my own.
Enjoy the class! Kyle is a pretty good instructor (I don't want to over-sell him in case it raises expectations too high lol).
Doubt we'll be able to make it up. We too will have just gotten back from the beach for a week. The 101 is a lot of fun and will really get you more comfortable with the capabilities of your truck.
I'll suggest one thing that I noticed while taking the class. I was the only 4Runner, the rest of them were Jeeps. While I'm sure this isn't the case for all Jeep drivers, the ones that were in front of me in my class (varied throughout the day) didn't really seem to understand driving slow (or maybe calculated?), and were dinging their skids left and right. Sounded horrible. I don't know about you, but I didn't get skids so I can use them all the time...I took my time, not a snails pace necessarily, on the rocky portions and never hit a skid all day.
You're gonna have a blast. I'll post back if anything changes and I can make it up.

I may be up there on July 2, but not for a class, and I don't have anyone else lined up to go with, so I may just try my luck meeting people in the parking lot.
The 101 is a blast. As previously stated, TAKE YOUR TIME. Kyle makes this very clear. Some of the people in the group will drive like idiots. Most will take their time. If you try to keep up with the idiots, you'll make the same or worse mistakes that they have.
It's the responsibility of the person in front of you to slow down to your pace, NOT the other way around.
Have fun, keep your vehicle safe.

[MENTION=119302]4RunnerAquasport[/MENTION] ...it is part of a 3 day event, but you can do each day individually as well (I will only be doing the July 2nd 101 class). The 201 class continues on Sunday with I think the "Winch and Recovery" class on Monday. Here is a link to the instructors website.

Hopefully it works out...I doubt they've had many classes with two 4runners from Florida at the same time!
