So I’m completely swapping out my from suspension. Total Chaos UCA and LCA, King Coilovers and bypass shocks. I figured while I have everything taken out I might as well swap out CV axles. Should I do Lotus or RCV?

Looks like you did not get any response. What did you end up going with? I just had a CV fail on my today for the first time while wheeling.

everyone tells me rcv is best

I bought rcvs in 8/2019
finally installed 6/2020
axle boots torn on 10/2020
and now 12/2020 cv bearings failed.
i put maybe 3000 miles on them.

Inner or outer CV problems?

Also - are you running taller than 3" of lift? With/without Diff drop?

i need to check with my shop, but both outer cvs boots were busted. edit: outer bearing failure
i might be right around 3" , i have diff drop
My angle of the boots don't look too bad.
Ran stock toyota ones for 30k with no issues. the only thing i changed when i did RCV was 275/70r17 to 285/75/r17. They crapped out on me almost immediately. Lift height has been consistent for 2 year now probably
