Read This If You DIY Your Driveshaft Zerks

Maybe it's me, maybe it's the zerks, maybe a bit of both, but I find getting and keeping the grease gun on them to be an absolute PITA, especially when I'm wedged under my 4Runner. That's the only reason I even considered shelling out $30 for the LockNLube Grease Gun Coupler.

Just used the coupler for the first time today and it...is...golden. The little lever lets you lock the grease gun fitting to the zerk so it stays on and you don't have to hold it with one hand. The fitting won't pop off if you move the gun while pumping it. And pushing the lever instantly releases it when you're done.

I highly recommend this fitting.

Thanks for sharing. There are few things more frustrating than dealing with a grease gun that refuses to get the grease anywhere but where it needs to be while folded under a vehicle.

When I first got my GX, I read that a high PSI grease gun is needed to get grease in the fittings.

After a lot of research, I got a Macnaught K29 that is rated to 10,000PSI. Worked awesome until it was stolen from my buddies garage.

i also use this little guy. i have to do all my work outside the apartment on the street, so i don't like to waste time under there.

I dont often pay for little conveiences like this. I was hesitant to even make the purchase but they are very much worth the $30, imo.

Not sure what you guys are using for grease guns. My Lincoln has never popped off once seated and seating is only a problem if I'm too lazy to rotate the drive shaft to get the zerks to a better angle.
