I have been averaging around 300-320 miles on my first 3/4 of tank and have been filling up around the 1/4 level.

Just towed my pop up camper from Denver to Vail area & back.

About 110 miles each way climbing from 5400' to 8000' up I70 on the way there.

1-way up I averaged 16.8mpg

Round trip average was 19.0mpg

Both numbers better than I expected since there is no tow mode (Why??).

87 octane from the same no-name gas station every fill up. Central Texas commuting from the hill country to the city 60 miles round trip in my 2015 Limited 4X4. Best since I started tracking was 19.7 mpg. 18.98 mpg avg.

FWIW: I reset the onboard system at the same time and it reads 18.5 avg.

Much better than my '03 V8 4X4 which was 16 mpg on a good day.

In the middle of a 1400 mile road trip, averaging 19.5-20mpg thus far, nearly all highway, cruise set at 72-74 mph.

Lifted 2", 255/75 cooper maxx. Totally doable

Our Limited does not like cruise. It eats an additional 1-2 mpg due to dropping to 4th on substantial hills. Hangs on to 4th waaaaay too long IMO. Crude throttle response in cruise. And yes, we know these trucks were not made with the highway in mind.

Off cruise, can goose it a little just before the hill and let it bleed going up. Get good numbers doing so. A lesser version of hyper-miling.

I found the same thing. It struggled to keep speed on the hilly highways.

I was at about 19mpg highway for 400 miles at 75-85 on 87 octane.

With my FJ Cruiser, I was typically going off cruise control during hilly terrain. It just seemed easier and better driving. Plan on doing the same with the 4Runner.

I have a 2014 SRP4x4 (bought 2 weeks ago)....mine was stuck on 12.8 until I reset that display...I do a lot of HWY miles each day...getting 19.4

If its like the 2014 its gonna be cumulative until you reset (I think)

I am mainly stop and go but I feel like I am ALWAYS above 15 on the real time mpg one and with the eco light. I am very light on the gas as well. My 4r only has 1800 miles so I am not sure why it isnt changing automatically.... Any thoughts? Will reset after work.

So far out of 12 fill ups, here's my breakdown per Fuelio app:

Avg = 17.41
Best = 18.05
Worst = 16.61

Drive about 60 miles a day round trip for work, some stop and go, some freeway speed and about 3000' of elevation per trip.

I drive very similar conditions only at 200ft elevation. I get:
Best: 21
Avg:19
Worse:16

Interestingly the snorkel seems to have added .5mpg or more. My hypothesis is because of cooler intake temps which are apparent when monitoring via OBD scanner.

18-19mpg so far just driving back and forth to work (only 1500 miles on it).
Interested to see what it's like on an upcoming road trip.
