I still only get 16.8mpg even when I keep mine in Eco. all City driving.
I feel like at this point I must have a broken 4runner. I recently purchased a 16' Limited and average with lite to moderate throttle a weak 11.9
The list of mods is trd pro fn wheels / 285-70-17 K02's / Ecotechnce Rack and Ladder, that's it and I am always in the 12mpg range. I met a guy yesterday with an sr5, same wheels and tires, roof tent, rack, rear cbi bumper and he got 12.8mpg
Am I missing something here? Is the Limited awd really killing gas mileage that hard?
Been running 275/70/17 Ko2's as soon as i got the 4runner and have been getting around 16.7 mpg mixed highway/city. Now after installing RSG angled sliders Im getting 18 mpg mixed Highway/city.
Hmmm, seems illogical. Why would you add 1.3mpg when you added more weight?
look at how aerodynamic they are and you'll understand

I'm familiar with RSG's angled sliders. 100 pounds of steel for the set. First time I've heard anyone bolting on 100 pounds of steel sliders and making a significant mpg gain. Apparently RSG is missing a HUGE MARKETING OPPORTUNITY by not advertising the increased gas mileage benefits of their sliders.
So, yeah, maybe I'm .
