Real World MPG with 5th Gen?

19.7 mpg on a recent long road trip, going often in the low 70's mph.

2013 Trail. Stock down to the OE tires/size. Last tank was 22.0mpg. 400+ miles of mostly highway (60-70mph) and 2 lane roads, (30-45mph).

Granted, these are mostly commuting miles. I've been using my other car for stupid around town stuff, like trips to the gym, grocery store, and taking the dogs to the beach. Doing all that stuff in the 4R puts me closer to 20. I also drive like an old lady, haha, which is easy to do in this vehicle.

I'm still impressed with that though, I was expecting closer to 18.

Driven the same way, my old 97 ZJ 4 liter on 31's got about 16.

Upgrading OE Duelers to General ATX's as soon as I get my Pro wheels in, I'm curious as to how I'll do then.

The Pro wheels are 4lbs lighter than my stock phone dials, but the tires are 5 lbs heavier. So a 1lb net gain. Hopefully that's negligable.

My 2015 TRD gets maybe 15-16 MPG in Houston city driving and maybe up to around 20 MPG on the highway.

Funny, my old behemoth 2002 V-8 Sequoia got about the same MPG.

I've had my 2014 for about a month and it's sitting at 11 lts per 100 km but when I actually do the math, it's slightly better than that. So, 25+ mpg. Much better than I expected but I typically run secondary roads so I'm not often over 100 kph/60 mph.

My totally stock ‘18 with 7,000 miles is averaging 19.6 MPG per Fuelly which is really close to the computer read out. That’s almost all mountain driving. No level roads around here. During break in on a trip down the Blue Ridge Parkway ( speed limit 45) I got 23 on one tankful but that’s not normal driving. Overall is 19.6 and that’s better than I had expected.

So I read that most who put on bigger tires do not need calibration and when checked with gps it's spot on. its written that the stock tires are small for the speedo. If that's true all stock tires are getting inflated mpg. Anyone ever clocked the stock tires against gps or radar?

Flat Florida roads with 970 miles on the odometer so far and I’m averaging 17.8 mpg in the city.

70-75 mph highway combined with 55-60 mph rural roads with few stops I averaged 21.6 mpg for one tank.

Combined city and highway is about 18.8 mpg.
