Really seems like it sits higher. ...

Higher than normal that is. I know the 285/70/17s are about an inch taller than the stock size but even then it seems like it's a good bit higher than the other trails I've driven. Maybe I'll get it on my buddies lift to see if it's got a spacer lift on it. It does have silver bilstens on it, but I'm not sure if they are actually 5100's.

What are your fender to hub measurements? That is the most accurate way to measure for lift.

For reference, my stock 2010 Trail is 19.25" in the front and 21.5" for the rear.

My driveway isn't really marble flat but I'm getting almost 23 in front and 25 in back lol. I'll have to do it at my buddies shop to be sure

My driveway slopes a bit as well but those measurements are a pretty different. Sounds like you might have a lift on there!

Yeah its gotta be lol. I'm not complaining one bit. It's just as high as I "WANTED" it to be even if the tires are 32.5in or so and today on the highway I was getting 19-19.5mpgs, according to the trucks computer, which is slightly less than the 19.8-21 mpgs I was getting with the jeep. But I had a 2in lift for it and it was getting 33s so it would have been the same. Plus i only had 3.21 gears, lower peak trq at a higher rpm.

You should be able to see if it has a spacer lift on it just by looking at the top of the strut on the front.

Congrats on the truck. Love the color!

Well I read that the trail shocks were bilstens bit I didn't know if the factory shocks were silver bilstens. And thanks guys. .. I'm digging the color. Doesnt have as much flake as my ruby red crystal pearl on the jeep but is a shade darker.

No, OEM TE shocks are black. Tacoma's come with Yellow bilstein (almost certainly off the shelf 4600s) with the TRD packages, but current** 4runners do not come with Bilsteins, at all.

**TRD Pro will probably change that.

Awesome so already got a lift, gonna crawl under it tomorrow and see what kind, along with bilsten 5100's. I'm pretty happy with the purchase. Only things I need to change/add now are window tint, upgrading all the speakers, throwing in my amp and sub and getting the leatherette seat covers. But most of that won't come till after the first of the year.

I also want to do stronger diff covers. I had awesome luck with ones made by Solid, for the price and quality they were some of the best made I've seen. Buddy of mine was like you only paid 60 bucks for a cover , they must suck mine cost 110.... then he saw them and asked how the hell I find these deals lol.

Our diffs don't have covers. The carrier comes out of the axle housing.

BudBuilt makes a diff skid for the rear diff.

Oh ok cool like the ford 9in....i totally forgot that lol. Thanks for the heads up. The axle rock plates will be on the "to-do in the future list".

Well I don't see any pucks and sorry for these crappy cell pics. I'll get better ones when I get it on a list. I like the height alot but at times when truck is parked a certain way it looks really high in back. I though maybe just pucks in the rear but nope. .. and if it simply has heavy duty rear springs then they ride pretty damn good!
