I have a 2000 4runner SR5 (only had for a few months) and just yesterday tried turning on the rear AC... It blew warm on cold and hot on hot. How do I make my rear AC Cold??? Thanks

This made me LOL.

I realize it's a newbie mistake, but it's not that ridiculous... The middle console has a fan switch (hi/low) and it has a second one that reads cold/hot. For someone who has NO experience in these vehicles, it's a reasonable question...

Relax. It made me chuckle when i read the post.

FYI - The second one doesn't read cold/hot, it just reads ambient to hot. I might be mistaken but there is no blue on your temperature control.

has anybody succesfully routed an a/c duct back to this vent?

Totally possible. Run some flexible pipe from the HVAC unit, snake around the radio, tunnel it through the center console and vent it out the arm rest.

But why? At least with my 4runner, the climate control keeps the entire truck comfortable. I keep the dial set to 76 and keep the vents from blowing on me.

Also. I keep the cargo cover out so i don't have cool or heat the trunk area.
