Rear axle service kits/seal

I have been doing research on replacing the rear axle seal and rear bearings on my 2000 4Runner. I keep seeing everyone referencing OEM. I see Marlin Crawler has a kit for both ABS and non ABS with Toyota parts other then the seals. Some questions...

1. Who has used the Marlin Crawler rear axle service kit for ABS? any feedback?
2. Are the Marlin seals better? I am guessing they are as good or better
3. Does the Marlin Crawler kit come with the skid control rotor(ABS ring)?
4. Do you really need two retainers?
- Marlins kit comes with one
5. Is Inchworm(Marlins kit) offering both ABS and non-ABS kits? It is priced a lot less($40 or so) when you consider buying one from Inchworm is basically two Marlin kits.

Thanks for the link to your write up and video. Some good info there. I didn't see anything specific to the questions I have regarding parts such as the different seals and kits.

I did get a reply from Inchworm saying they have the Marlin rear axle service kit for ABS. Will be following up with them for some more info.

On one of the post there was a parts list. I think I was asking if that was the parts I'd need. In the end that was the complete list. The retainers and ABS rings were either cut or pressed off. I bought the pieces separately and not in a kit.

I was in a bit of a rush at the time of the repair and the dealer didn't have all the parts. The machine shop was at my local Carquest and they worked with me to get the parts I needed (it's the list from the post). It helped that they were knowledgeable in the repair and I was at ease when I saw the axle shafts from two other Toyotas in for the same job.

As far as seals, I was having an issue for a while. At first I has a leaky one on one side. I replaced that seal (Toyota seal), then a few weeks later the other one went (replaced with Napa seal). About a year after that both were leaking and that prompted the bearing replacement. I think I used Toyota seals that time. Then a couple years later I did an e-locker retrofit using a donor housing which required new seals again, I used Napa. The all of these seals are the "inner" seal which is pressed into the housing end, NOT the seal at the end of the axle shaft.
