Well, to salvage a crappy thread, I was able to swap out the rear springs. I didn't have to take anything loose except for the lower shock bolts. I jacked up the rear by the reciever hitch as high as I could get it, had to use boards to get it high enough...then supported the rear diff w/a bottle jack. Took out the bolts from the lower fitting on the shock and let them extend down. Then lowered the rear diff until the springs had little or no tension. The stock springs came out easy, but I had to have the wife push down on the axle while I forced the new springs in place. Made sure they were seated properly and as I raised the rear axle up I popped the shocks back on the bolt/fitting. Put it all back together again and found that I gained 3/4-1" on the rear! Looks good, rides good, but now I'll have to get the spacers and springs on the front to make it look right!
