Rear coils with original shocks for the trail?

I am going to replace the rear coils with the SAW springs. Do I have to change the shocks also or the original shocks would work? If possible I'd rather keep the originals, but I wonder if the extra 1.5-2 inch length would compromise the performance of the original shocks

You'll be fine with the stock shocks and the SAW coils. The rear shocks are the limiters of down travel, not the springs, so they are simply doing the same job no matter what springs you run. The only difference with SAW coils is your ride height will be higher. However, a set of 5100s would be nice for a little extra down travel in the rear (but I would recommend a full set of four).
