Any update on the parking brake?
Bump? I'm probably jumping on disc swap asap any more update on the ebrake?
dont know how i missed this thread till now... but as soon as i get my starting issue figured out, i will be doing a disc brake conversion it looks like... dibs!
If you would like I can make some brackets for you for free I need to jump on this ASAP since I bent my backing plate when I changed my wheel bearings. I'm probably going to jump on this next weekend. Have the calipers already just need to get a line made or use i think 200sx.
thanks. I think I have everything I need. All I need to do is cut and ferrel one cable and then put everything in the truck. Just gotta get it done.

I'm going to have to do axle seals soon, so it would be a great time to replace the bearings and do this conversion!

Rear Disk Brake 22 by Sam Wright, on FlickrAny other updates in this? Both of my rear axel seals are now leaking. Is this the wise move to choose and why?
It is a fun conversion but I can tell you it is not necessarily an answer to the rear leaky seal problem. They are two differing issues. If you are not a tinkerer then it probably is not a conversion for you but if you like to jump in and play with stuff and wheel in a place where mud is an issue or if you need a little more braking power for towing small trailers then it is great. It is not super cheap because the initial parts cost and then all the little things like upgrading the master cylinder (still on the list for me) and getting the ebrake to work. Im not trying to discourage you on the conversion just making sure you really know what your getting into. HeHe :eyebrows:
I was wondering if you upgraded the master cylinder or not. A month ago some guy posted on here asking about which one to get to upgrade because he swapped in landcruiser straight axles that came with disc brakes and he got it answered on another forum and gave me a link. He swapped(it doesn't bolt on though) in one from a t100 and so far it looks like it's working for him. I'll find the link and post it if you want. The price to do this for me isn't as expensive since I work at a parts store I get auto parts at cost.
