Rear Display

I just bought an 03 4Runner and the rear display isn't working, I came out to the car and it was hanging from the celling. It didn't work when I bought it so I'm sure that didn't it though. What exactly is it for (what does it show when it's on), I'm not sure if I want to pay Toyota to replace it if it's just pointless to have back there. Also any idea's on how much it'd run to replace it ?

If your talking about the small screen next to the dome lights its a display for the rear seat entertainment. It only comes on is you have the remote to work it. I have the same thing in mine and have only used it once. I think its kind of useless anyway. I would save your money for a MOD or something.

That's what I was talking about, I don't have the remote so I think I'll just leave it. Only person back there is a 2 year old and soon to be newborn don't think they will care lol. Thanks
