rear drums

Has anyone ever tryed converting there rear drums into disc brakes. just wondering if anyones ever done it or tryed it.

dang have u tryed doing it. dont u just need to redo to rear brake lines ,new rear hubs and get some rotors or is it not that easy.

Something along those lines. I haven't attempted it, but I know that if you convert to disks you'll lose your parking brake, since the e-brake is integrated into the factory drums

ya they do but the other thing is what about the E-brake but im sure thers away around that some how.

haha that didnt really make much sense but i think the keep it that way makes sense, and that was a flooded road it was no puddle beleive me it was like that for over a mile!

this thing is intense all together, it looks like a lift, but its not.

this week im getting my skid row skidplate, then after this im thinking either a front arb or tjm bumper. or a lift. im undecieded on which to do, there both expensive haha

haha ya everything is so expensive it sucks. im pretty sure i have seen thoes arb bumpers before. im trying to save up for a 2 or 3 in toytec lift but im still tryin to find somethin cheaper. what year is your runner.

you gotta check out peoples signitures man, mines a 96. and yeah i hear ya there. my skid plate was 240, but i havent felt safe since the factory one got take off. long story haha. but i will be protected thats for sure! i need to get some rock sliders too, just last week put another rocker panel dent in from a snow/ice pile haha

anything's possible. i would say it's probably going to be easier to just pick up a whole axle from a 4th gen or tundra to do the conversion. you may have to regear depending on what the donor is. probably re mount shock perches. i'm sure it's doable. why though? any well adjusted drum should give you plenty of stopping power even with large tires.
