Rear End adjustment side to side?

So I tried to search a bit but wasn't sure exactly what terms to use best. Here is my problem. I noticed that my passenger side rear wheel/tire sticks out about 1/2 inch more from the fender flares, then the drivers side. Like the rear end is slightly shifted over. I have a 97 5 speed SR5. I know in my GTO there's a cradle alignment tool used to get things squared away back there, since they would get shipped from Australia with all types of variances in alignment. So is there a way I can get this lined up and adjusted correctly? I'm assuming it would be with the pan hard bar, but is there any adjustment in a stock one?

Adjustable pan hard bar will center it back. Or a pan hard drop bracket if you want to save money.

If you have a lift then your axle will be pushed over to the passenger side. A panhard drop or an adjustable panhard can fix this.

Jack up the rear, kick the side that's sticking out really really hard, then drop it off the jack quickly before it has a chance to go back.

Thanks a lot, yes I have a lift, I will order one today. I looked and I think the Sonoran will do.

People have experienced their driveshaft making contact with their gas tank using the adjustable panhard. I don't believe anyone has had issues with the drop bracket causing the same thing. Don't get me wrong, the bracket has its issues as well. It puts more leverage on the cross member but could surely be remedied with a little more welding.

People have contact issues with stock bars also, with drop brackets and without. The adjustable bar is the solution for the OP and what he asked for. Solution for driveshaft contact either way? Hammer.

Would you say going with the drop kit is a better option then the Pan Hard bar itself? I don't do extremely aggressive wheeling, but do get off road from time to time especially to get far back in the woods with the Raptor.

not necessarily better or worse, just easier on the wallet with the same effect. I wheel the piss out of mine and I've never had a problem. As long is it's welded with good welds all around, you'll be ok.

I've had experience with it making contact with stock PH bar.

I ordered the SS PH bar and everything is back to normal and within spec

Installation of the SS panhard bar is super easy. Just take off the old one, jiggle the truck around a bit so it settles into place with no panhard (or take a very slow and careful drive around the block), then just adjust the new bar so it fits easily at ride hight (with the truck on the ground) and bolt it up.

Also, FWIW, my driveshaft hits the gas tank skid with an SS panhard. Nothing a BFH or grinder can't fix.

Really? Mine never has unless the previous owner already took care of the issue? Maybe it doesn't always happen at full stuff of the rear driverside tire?

I need to take a look see next time I'm under there

Yea it was crazy I wasn't expecting it. I remember going through a ditch and heard this god awful loud clicking noise while accelerating slowly up this steep incline.

Back up and noticed one of the balance weights on the drive shaft was making contact with the fuel tank shield. Wasn't much. Pounded it in some and the problem was solved.

Ok I'm just wondering once its on the ground bolted up that I can get the adjustment right to center my axle.

I ripped off my zerk fitting on my driveshaft because of it contacting my gas tank skid... I've stuffed a couple of times and I hear the same terrible noise every time.. scares the crap out of me :toilet:
