Hey guys this may be posted somewhere else if so point me in the right direction please. I need to replace the rear axle seals on my 97 and I am looking for the part numbers for the factory seals. If there is a better option also let me know THANK YOU!!! Also thinking of putting in an Auto locker in the rear so any recommendations or pro's and cons would be appreciated

one note: I have done a couple of sets of rear axles now, there are 2 different styles of axles but the seals should be the same part number.

check your breather, it's the reason most of the time the rear axles seals leak. if it gets rusted or plugged it can't vent correctly and blows gear lube out the seals. this usually wrecks the bearings because gear lube washes out the grease in the bearings. depending on how long it's been going on.

I have an ARB rear locker on my truck. I love it. east coast gear supply is the way to go IMO. you just order a rear 3rd member with a locker in it. pull yours out and swap in the new one. send back yours and get core deposit back. get ready for some big $$ unless you can do all that yourself.

Make sure you check your wheel bearings while you're replacing the seals. Usually seal failure is a result of the wheels bearings going out.
