So I have done some searching but cannot find an answer. I am trying to replace the rear hatch release switch. I cannot figure out how to get the rear bezel to come loose from behind the "T" emblem. I took off all the 10mm bolts but it's still stuck and I don't want to break it. Please help!!

I messed with the emblem recently so I still remember some of it. There are 4 or maybe 6 bolts? you need to remove--I think it is 4. The bolt on the left is behind a round rubber cover if you face the lift gate. Remove that black rubber cover then you can stick your screw driver to reach the nut.

Then there are two wiring thingys that go into the back of the emblem. They look like two rubber covers. They are where the wires go from the door to the emblem. They can be squeezed and pulled out from the holes.

There is also a clip right behind the round part of the emblem. It clips into a square hole in the metal part of the gate. If you removed all the bolts, this clip and the rubber seals for the wires will hold the emblem. You just need to pull a little.

Come to think of it, there might also be a couple more clips on the bottom edge of the emblem but I can't remember.

Like I said, I don't remember all the details, but you'll figure it out if you go slow.

Good luck!
