Rear Power Window Wiring

I removed my rear wiper motor because the drive shaft was broken and replaced it with a rear view camera.
Now my rear window wont work. Looking over threads it appears that the hatch controller needs to know the wiper is off and in its rest position. Anyone know of a way to spoof this for the controller?

Looks to me like you need to ground both the blue-yellow and blue-white wires from the relay to the now-gone wiper motor. Good luck. '97 EWD follows.

Thanks for the diagram!

It looks to me that it is just the blue-yellow (if blue is what the L stands for) I think both are grounded anytime it is out of the return position and then the blue-yellow is open at the farthest.

Thats atleast how I'm reading it.

Yes, L is Blue. Black is B.

As to the wires, maybe. Both the diagram of the switches and the function description of turning off are hard to decipher. A little trial and error is called for. Good luck.

I had the same issue of the rear window not working after I deleted my rear wiper. To fix this you ground number 3 in the connector, either by using a small length wire to jump or you can like I have use the pig tail off the old wiper motor to do this.

For posterity, I ended up grounding the blue yellow wire coming from the rear hatch controller (power window relay as its called in the schematics) There is the block of grounds right next to the controller so I just added it there.
