Rear Seat gear storage

Tried several searches, different word combinations, both here and on expedition...

I never use my rear seats, have already removed the seat bottoms to gain more room directly behind the front seats.
Now looking at removing the laid down seat backs also, building a storage compartment, same level as rear cargo floor, top opening compartments.

Has anyone?
Know of a thread?

I already have a box built in the rear with pullout drawers. This will be removed, all the gear shifted forward. The seat area would provide more cubic feet and distribute the weight better.

Ideas?

Take out the seats and fabricate your own solution. I don't think there is anything "commercial" for you since your use case is pretty rare. People who need only 2 seats and lots of storage is likely to get a Tacoma or Tundra.

I never asked for a commercial solution.
I wrote that I was going to remoce the seats and build my own.
I was seeking to see what/how others had done.
Even if I had a Taco I would still have removed the seats or left them down all the time just like I do now.

A year late, but here are pics. Handling has increased due to fact all heavy gear is centered in truck. Very rear is only for fly fishing gear, guns.
