Rear View Camera?

Can a rear view camera be integrated with the 2010 4Runner Limited's Nav system? Or does a completely separate (rear view mirror) installation need to be done?

Thanks.

Yea...bear with me....this is my mom's 4Runner and she's asked for a rear view camera for Christmas....I thought she already had one but wasn't sure. I don't have access to the vehicle so can't verify.

So basically, she should already have one is what you're saying? Thanks.

If she has the factory nav system she has a back up camera that will display there......if she does not have the factory nav system it is in the rear view mirror.

As West said, I've never seen a Limited that didn't have a backup camera. I'd guess she somehow has the settings turned off? Although I'd have to play around with the menus to see how someone would even accomplish that.

If she looks above her license plate, she should have the camera right there. If she's having a hard time finding it, I'd suggest she snaps a picture of the rear of the vehicle and sends it to you. You'd be able to ID the camera and be 110% sure it exists.

The backup camera is standard on the Toyota NAV as others have mentioned.

FWIW, there is no setting to disable the camera functionality within the NAV setup. It's all automatic. Put it in reverse, camera shows. There's nothing (slight of some mod) that can change that behavior. just FYI.
