Rear Window Rack MOLLE

I got mine last week and installed it today. I think I ordered on a Monday and it was shipped by the Friday of that same week. Shipping to GA only took a few days - it arrived the following Wednesday. Darrel was very communicative along the way. Customer service points!!

Installation was a bit of pain, and I agree with those who have posted about the need for more bracing at the rear post.

I would have liked a little more instruction, and some pictures. Thanks to everyone who posted theirs here, btw! I get that it's pretty simple, but I feel like there could have been some guidance on which way the included bolts should go, and which side of the bracket the PSD goes on. Maybe it doesn't even matter, and I found what worked for me, but why not lay it out?

I also HAD to trim the 1/4" of the longer spacer. Never would have worked without it.

Word of advice: if it seems really extra wobbly before you tighten everything down, tightening both bolts really tightly makes it much more secure. After tightening tightly, it doesn't move much. I'm still considering using string/wire/fishing line/zip tie/something to connect the rear post to the other hanging point back there.

how doesn't it fit? what is the problem?

Same issue as LC2013 on previous page. It looks like the issue is that the 03-05's without the 3rd row seat, only have a single coat hook, where as the 06-09's have a double coat hook, which the bracket needs to be in the correct location.

I will say the vendor is being very receptive and helpful with solving the issue. as of right now I'm leaning towards simply returning it because I am not a huge fan of the fix that LC2013 got. The rack doesn't fit the contour of the window nearly as well as it does in a 5th gen which is what this rack was clearly designed for. It just looks out of place in a 4th gen.

We are working on all problems that has arises. We modeled these with a gen 5 with no 3rd row seating. I was not aware of a 3rd row seating option when I made these. I do apologize to all that has ordered them and they did not fit your seating. An adjustment has been made in programming and they are on the way to the powder coating shop on 10-17-2016.

4 Runners with single hook in the rear. We are trying to locate a 4 runner near to Greensboro NC for fitment and redesign if needed. We are really trying Our best to solve these problems and make everything right.

If anything is wrong with them or the fixes you made to make it right on your 4 runner we are a company that listens. We make adjustments and we will fix issues.

Sounds like they are on it. All the best. Would have helped if you had listed what you owned in your profile. Not the mfg's. fault imho.

Good that you are addressing the issue.

I have a 5th gen T4R so I guess the one I ordered will fit nicely.

EXCELLENT!

Orange Box, Darrel, has definitely been awesome about getting a solution and communicating. I don't think anyone ever realized that when Toyota did the mid-cycle refresh, they changed the coat hooks so 03-05 is different than the 06-09

i like that 1st aid kit, what pack is that?

Thanks! It's one I put together myself. It's a Maxpedition bag that I filled on my own with a bunch of bandages, gauze, tape, OTC medicine, etc. that I mostly already had from other FAKs. I pasted the link for the bag and the patch (which is separate) below. You also have to buy some separate Molle strips they call Tac-Tie.

(Edited to fix links)

Is there good contact info for these guys? I'm interested in buying a set for my 4th Gen but want both the driver and passenger and it's not listed. Alas, their website doesn't give any useful contact info.

Thanks!
