rear windshield wiper gremlin problem.

"...The only other thing might be the harness connection in the spoiler might have come loose??? when I took the spoiler off to mount the rear view camera a few months ago..."

umm hmmm! Those weee lil' details cropin' up to bite-cha in the 'you know what':moon: lol! Ya know, that's a pretty BIG detail to leave out of your original post :ohwell:; but I know that you just didn't make the connection until a few minutes ago! I'll bet "My entire 'T4R.org' Christmas bonus check" that some related wiring in that harness is 'X-feeding' into your "Int/Delay" mode circuitry! Please let us know! Best of luck!

rigtec, cheers

WOAH WOAH WOAH!

You get a Christmas Bonus check!?

I demand to speak to a Moderator about financial compensation for my assistance! zopperman You've been holding out on me! :heh:

Gremlin sleeping

Havn't gotten around to checking the harnesses under the spoiler but this morning all was quiet. Rear wiper was stowed and silent and the rear window works... for now. I'll still check things this weekend.

Signing off for now. thanks for the input:noidea:

Going to take it in next week. The only other thing might be the harness connection in the spoiler might have come loose??? when I took the spoiler off to mount the rear view camera a few months ago. I'll update if this is the case

I asked you this "Have you added any electrical components. Alarm, etc." in post #7 of this thread. You did not respond. Did you somehow NOT think it could be your fault? Did you somehow think that information was NOT relevant in the beginning post? Dude...

I was thinking about a shorted/shorting switch...

But I would double check the connection at the spoiler if you were messing with that earlier.

I'm joining all you guys. Send me my check.

Do you think it magically fixed itself?
I had a bulb that recently did not work until I checked it. Then it worked. It was not magic there either as it was a burnt filament that would touch for awhile then separate.

Don't use the "no idea" shrug smilie until you check your own work.

Easy fella

1engineer: I totally take responsibility for forgetting my spoiler work info. Sorry to waste your time.
I have no illusions the issue magically fixed itself, I checked the harnesses under the spoiler and they are fine.

I like many of you come on this site for info and insight. One thing I like is the comeradery and ribbing that goes on. I hope that's what I'm getting here and nothing more

Thanks gain for the help. I'll post if I find anything that needs fixing

Back in 2012 (May) when I became aware of this website I had list of questions about the 4Runner I had just bought; on some level I still do! Apparently I came to the right place because my NEED to learn was being recompensed, and so login in became a habit! The other thing I discovered here was... 'Comradery', it's the main reason that I continue to hang around! It's like a 'brotherhood' and you can get attached to these fellas, you know... "It's a great team"!
