Rear Wiper Arc...

It has been a while since this discussion. Has anyone done or attempted to do any mods of any kind with the rear wiper's travel arch?

I tried a baseball bat, did not work. Dealer replaced with the same WW wiper motor and window....joking......sorry, had to go there. Be Safe. :bravo:

I see this Wiper Sweep problem with nearly all Hatchback vehicles.

Doesn't seem right but since its so prevalent, I'm guessing there's a reason. Who wants just 50% of their window cleared.

Most of these cars have really short blades. I've always thought, why don't they design an arm that lengthens/shortens during the stroke as required.
Guess that's another Holy Grail design.

So visually this may look like butt, be a potential solution to "reach" more window would be to mount a second blade, parallel to the original one. Like an equal sign or an "H" with double horizontal bars. You're definitely double wiping the window, but the new lower (when tucked away) wiper blade would extend the wiper arc just a bit further.

How you accomplish that is beyond me (mounting wise).
