That sounds stupid. You're probably a person with a different political view than me, so I'll start by attacking that, even though it's completely unrelated to the current discussion.

Here's where I put a meme that's taken out of context, and also likely unrelated to the conversation, but it sparks rage somehow. BOOM! take THAT!

And then I use emojis to walk off into the sunset feeling a very brief moment of satisfaction before I sink back into my general level of unhappiness because my life has turned into a series of Internet fights and masturbation sessions, in that order.

I own three 4runners and bought the third one in Nov of 2018. I've never lifted one before and knowing what I know now, I don't think the guys telling you to use the search function were trying to be dicks. I can say this because I don't pin stripe my runner, I don't rock crawl, and I'm pretty much just building a pretty grocery getter. i.e. I had no clue where to start so I speak from where you seem to be coming from.

It's honestly the best place to start -there are 3 (I think?) stickies on lifting your vehicle and upsizing your tires (all of which are related and provide useful information).

With a lift, there are a few factors to take into account that make the decision a very personal decision so for someone to suggest to you a heavy duty OME setup isn't going to do you much good for your needs.

A thread asking the difference between things or to clarify confusion would hold more weight, but to recommend you a lift... man, I dunno. You're asking for trouble not cause of the shit storm that ensued but because you're possibly going to pay double or triple the original cost had you done thorough research to enable you to buy what you really would have wanted in the first place.

I hope you find what you want, but this thread is definitely not the way based on my limited experience.

Dude! I was totally joking and poking fun at how all these threads turn out. (For example, look at posts above including memes... I sort of nailed it). My post was a blueprint for how it always goes over and over.

I've been in the midst of it and honestly do NOT care. I find more joy pointing out people's immaturity. Seriously wasnt trying to be personal with you. I don't even know you and I HATE when folks go all wonky and personal over a 4Runner forum thread post.
