Recommended seat covers for the tan 4Runner 2WD 5speed

What are the recommended seat covers for the tan cloth 97 Toyota 4Runner front seats (96-02?), mostly the driver-side seat of course - which is starting to tear in the edge?

Looking at other posts on here, most people seem to recommend the Wet Okole seat covers, however their main complaint is that they're pricy. Worth keeping in mind however that they're custom made
for the 4Runner's bucket seats so they'll look/fit great.

Note that the shape of those seats is the "base" or "non-sport" seats, which is different than the sport and leather seat shape.

Carhartt makes a good seat cover….I’ve had them in my 98 and the Taco for years. They take a beating….well worth the $300 I think they were.

Wet Okole is 100% the way to go. Waterproof, fitted so well they look factory, available in many colors (and they send free swatches for you to check against interior). If you don’t have heated seats, they can be ordered with front seat heater elements in the covers.

If you sign up for their mailing list on the website, they will periodically send you sale and discount info.

I installed some on my (now departed) 2018 Grand Cherokee when it was new, and people thought they were factory.

Spend the money. Get the best.
