SSO has made a prototype for the 10-13 Trail model, but it hasn't advanced beyond that stage. You might try calling these folks and see what they say. They would probably need a test vehicle for fitment though.

thank you for the info.. my other option was I am looking at an ARB front bumper... but i am worried about the weight.

I had a 2010 tacoma that i had installed a USA bumper insert.. worked out real nice.. could hardly tell there was a winch installed.

I'll ask relentless. I think they finished welding one up yesterday but I'm not positive.

I'll ask them. It is confirmed to work with aftermarket skids if you're in the market for something a little stronger than the TRD skid also though.

I'll get back to you as soon as I know. I'm willing to bet they just need somebody with a TRD skid to try it.

They have and they determined that they would probably have to make a version that clears it. I would assume they need a test subject to confirm though.

Makes more sense to just pick up a better skid in the meantime though and go aftermarket!

I'll ask them for the install instructions. We plan on making a video or detailed instructions with photos when installing it on my rig soon.

personally, I'd like the lower grille to match the upper grille. if they were smart, they'd make a filler piece for the upper grill that would fit a TRD Pro. This way anyone wanting to add the TOYOTA grille to their non-pro, would only need to buy the cover from Toyota and could use the upper grille from these guys.

They are thinking of adding an upper grille option last I checked. It's hard because the non pros have a cutout for the emblem that the pros don't so if you just took the emblem off and put just grille it wouldn't look too great with a random hole in the bar going across.

Right now they can replace the lower grill since then you can get one with a light cutout. It's better to have the bar up higher like that rather than in the actual bumper part. Then it's too low.

The factory style grille is pretty identical to the factory grille though so it will work for most people that like matching (like me!).

It would be really cool if the lower grill hinged out of the way or popped out somehow for class-leading access to the winch. What's the need for replacing the bottom grill? No more mounting points?

Hinging it would be cool, but that would make it much weaker and eliminates the ability to run a lightbar.

It has to be swapped in order to run a lightbar since steel is much more rigid than plastic, the ones without a lightbar were purely a design decision. Looks nice and you can customize your rig further!

if we don't want a lightbar can you still use the stock grill? i'd prefer to keep the stock grill if possible
