Reliable SoCal Suspension Shops?

I went to my local off road suspension shop to find out what I can do about the sag I'm getting towing a pop-up. I asked about airbags but also about upgrading shocks/ coils and a leveling kit. The guy told me that my only real option is airbags. He said that installing a leveling kit would make the front lift and rear sag more pronounced when towing, even if I also added airbags. He also suggested going with Bilstein shocks, but said that when they do that they permenantly disassemble the KDSS. I am the furthest thing from a techie, but I was surprised. He told me that I should go look at the Grand Cherokee because you can get the air suspension.

Question for SoCal members: Can anyone recommend a shop near Costa Mesa that knows/regularly works on 4Runners? This place is all Jeep, and I'm not confident that they are speaking from experience.

Outlaw Offroad in Santa Ana or if you do not mind the drive Demello Offroad in Riverside. Both reputable shops very familiary with 4runners and Toyotas in general.

Know both and sure either will take care of you. I drive the ~100 miles (each way) to DeMello myself; went to Outlaw when I had the (POS) Raptor.

I have all my work done in L.A. right on the border of Venice at a place called Dirty Parts. Larry is the owner and has an FJ which he knows inside and out. He has done all my suspension and lighting work, I have a 2010 4runner. I highly recommend him. Small shop but very informed.

The guy who told you they have to permanently disable the KDSS is one of two things. 1.) a jackass 2.) doesn't know a thing about KDSS in that case I wouldn't use his shop.

The system he was referencing is XREAS that has to be removed in order to lift with aftermarket shocks. I do believe you would be able to do a spacer lift or the airbags without removing XREAS but I could be wrong.

Tons of guys on here have KDSS on their TE and the only person I can think of that has disabled done that is SoCalTRAIL but his truck and suspension setup is on a whole other level.

OP do you have a Trail or Limited?

If you're within a reasonable drive I'd go to Demello as some have stated.

Anyone have experience with Full Tilt in San Clemente? I have a 2013 LE and want to do front spacers but am a bit nervous due to XREAS issues with some folks.
