So for everyone that has helped me pick and choose suspension. I have chosen 4crawlers 2wd ball joint spacer with upper arm brace and OME 2in coil spring for the rear, still not sure about shocks but I might stick with stock for the time being. But just wanted to let you guys know. Thanks for sticking in there with all my questions.

With two inches of lift, you'll want to go aftermarket on the shocks--otherwise the shocks may run out of travel before the suspension does...not good. OME makes some excellent shocks that are valved nicely for the weight of 4Runners.

4x4connection.com carries all the OME parts separately, and have decent prices, too. The main reason why I suggest those is that they're good about making the units for the weight of the Toyotas, whereas many other shocks may be too stiff. If you need to keep the price down, though, I guess you could try some Monroes or similar from an auto parts store, Sears, etc..

ok, ill check them out and i was looking at those from separate builds. would just like something that will get me buy for right now. also what lenght of shock should i get. not sure on how to measure shocks

In most cases, you simply specify the amount of lift when buying shocks for a lifted factory truck. You usually don't need specific measurements unless it's something custom made.

ok but on somewebsites they want the extended length and compressed length, and its hard to find shocks that suport a 2in light. the bilstein 5100's only come in a 3in to 4in lift. and monroe doesnt make lift shocks. so im kinda lost, ive been searching around on the forum but nothing.
