Remote start questions

I have a '90 5 speed. Had a Viper remote start installed on it. The problem the installer and I are having is when the key is not in the ignition if you press the clutch the starter engages. It won't start because of the 2nd ignition wire. We installed a relay to the clutch bypass in hopes that would solve the issue, but it did not. It will start normally with the key, or with the use of the remote. So it's not a big deal right now. Im Just wondering what we might've missed or if there's something we don't know about. This is not the installers first rodeo. He does installs for a big electronics company.

Like fourwd1 said it is the clutch switch. Unless you are using a relay to engage the clutch bypass switch which I honestly have never done myabe. But it is easier to run a relay to the clutch switch at the pedal. Have the relay engage by the ignition pulse of the remote start.

My buddy figured it out yesterday. This is what he told me

Problem with the clutch relay.
The negative trigger from the alarm rest at 12 V when nothing is on and the ignition wire rests at ground. Energizing the relay. Turning the motor over.

Thanks for the replies guys!
