Remove X-Reas

I have recently thought about removing my x-reas suspension and replacing it. Before I do though I have a few questions:

Approximately how much would this cost?

Would it be worth it?

What is the best brand/type to replace it with and get a smooth ride going down the highway.

I've read some other threads but I was unable to find the information I was trying to find. I read a lot about the Donahoes though.

Thanks.

What would you like your vehicle to be able to do? Mostly highway or some offroad jaunts? Doesn't sound like you are looking for hardcore off-road... Why do you want to replace your XREAS?

So I can lift it without doing spacers. From what i've heard about spacers...it is leaning me farther and farther away. I just want a standard lift on it but I can't do that with the x-reas.

Revtek and Cornfed are spacer lifts which many users run with XREAS. I believe the only downside with this approach is that the ride becomes a little more stiff. Also, there is not a lot of data about the long term effects of the lift on the XREAS system.

I removed my XREAS and installed OME front and rear. See my sig for details. Slee Offroad can advise you on what spring/shock combo you need based on your expected use. I think I paid somewhere around $700 and I installed them myself. The coilover option on the front is another way to go if you want high end performance. Personaly, I have been happy with my OME set up. :bigok:
