Removing 4th Gen Door panel

Hi,

I've looked at several posts but haven't found what I need. I'm pullng the drivers side door panel off so I can replace the mirror. I've got the clips loosened, the door switch screw out and the stud at the upper right, and the triangular piece in the corner but the door is still being held. I assume it is he armrest screws but I don't see how to remove that. How does the armrest on the 4th gen come off so I can access the screws behind it?

Thanks

The only two screws that hold the door panel on are under the plastic trim under the door handle, and under the armrest. The armrest will come off with your hands, just gently grip it and rip it. There will be a silver hex-head screw underneath that also has a flatheaded screwdriver slot. While you're in there, reach down and unplug the connector for the light. The plastic trim piece under the door handle (by under, I mean behind it) can be pried out with a tiny flathead carefully. You'll see what I mean when you reexamine. Have someone with you to hold the door panel while you unbolt and replace the mirror, so that you don't have to unplug any additional connectors. That's what I did.
