I changed tail gates from an 98 to a 99. The brain box is different so need to get the original wiring harness out. I have undun all but the 2 wires going to the cable part of the latch. I can't see the little part you press to allow the harness plug to release. Do I need to drill the latch assembly rivets out to get access to this plug release?
