removing ProtectiveFilm scratches

All I wanted from the detailer was a ton of pigeon poop cleaned from the
roof, but no, they had to do the whole vehicle. Oh well, it did look nice til
I got it home and saw on the very front of the hood these three 10" long
1/4 inch wide scratches. Can barely feel them, but they are visible.
Has anyone ever polished out any light scratches from their ProtectiveFilm
finish? The paint is pearl white. Dale in Seattle.

I would have the film replaced on the detailer's dime.

working on clear bra's and protective films are tricky as they are plastic. I have had mixed results in the past depending on the brand and age of teh film. For my 3M bra, I've found Plastix on a Gray Lake Country pad gives a decent cleaning, doesn't scratch and gets that slight yellow haze off the bra. but minor hazing in the corners are sometimes inevitable.

In your case, It might be too late. It sounds like they did it by hand in large strokes and applied too much pressure therefore scratching the film. Bring that to their attention and ask them to replace it as Uneek suggested. Good Luck.
