Renting a trailer - anybody but U-Haul

I'm renting a 5x8 trailer to bring some household goods from Grand Rapids, MI to Buffalo, NY and I'd like to use anybody but U-Haul. I'm not having any luck... know of any other options?

These other companies rent trailers here in California, not sure about your area.

The problem you may find is they are either not in your area or they might be in one but not the other. That is why U-haul is so succesful is they are everywhere. Good luck and I agree with not using U-haul if you can, my last few experiences with them have been less than favorable.

A 5X8 trailer is small, why not look for a used one in your area? CraigsList in my town is filled with trailers. Then you'll always have it for odd jobs etc.

I believe one-way rentals a costly. You may prefer to buy a trailer and sell it at your destination.
