repainted air deflector today at work

I have a lot of downtime...

I got a question:

How many coats should I do?

1 coat of Krylon primer and 2 coats of Krylon flat black...

In this photo (before) you can see how thrashed it was. It was from a wrecked limited 4Runner.

And today at work:

I think it was only partially dry so it looks uneven in the photos, right now it's pretty good looking... but should I coat it a few more times?

I need to re-do my blacked-out emblems and this time I'm gonna do a coat of primer and then a few coats of Krylon spray paint designed to adhere to plastics. Should work better than the Testors paint I initially used which is now chipping off.

Also, I don't want to get too off-topic here but I think it's relevant. When painting something flat black, like COB's spoiler or my emblems, what color primer should you use? Should you just use a coat of white primer or does color not make a difference? Whenever you see painters priming cars on TV shows or wherever, they always seem to use a coat of white primer so I would just assume that's the best bet, but Krylon sells a whole bunch of different color primer paints.

I used 3M Plastic Emblem and Trim adhesive. I haven't taken them back off since using that but according to this guy on a VW forum, the adhesive ate through his paint. Hopefully that doesn't happen to me but I'll let you know when I end up taking my emblems back off.

I know sn0wrunner used the same 3M adhesive to reattach his emblems but I don't think he's taken them off since so I can't confirm if it does eat away the paint. Other people have used 3M double-sided tape but then you have to spend the time to cut the tape to fit the outline of the emblem and I feel like double-sided tape wouldn't really secure the emblems strong enough.

I decided to have mine done gloss black. Came out super nice.
