Replace '96 4Runner Antenna but does not work

I have '96 4Runner and I recently purchase OEM antenna from Ebay. I replace the antenna which it took me forever to replace with antenna cable which I did not know I have to remove all the panel inside. Once everything is done connect the blue wire to blue wire of the antenna and Black wire to the Red wire of the antenna. Also connect the ground connection to the body frame. However at the end, when I turn on the radio the radio works however the power antenna DOES NOT COME UP? Can you tell me what the problem could be.

if the radio works. why complain? (kidding)

you might have a dead motor on your antenna. Did you try to hardwire it first to your stereo to make sure it worked before you took everything apart?
