I was thinking there would be a video or pictures...or something?

OP--are you just excited that the stock muffler lasted 120k miles??? What kind of muffler did you put on? Stock replacement or aftermarket?

$240 and you are still on the old crap pipes and a Meineke special muffler? A stainless JBA system is $280 on Amazon now. You got ripped off.

Both of you got ripped off. Live in the South and never have to replace your muffler. How 'bout them apples? :hatsoff:

Pricing sounds accurate for a chain service shop. Labour plus their mark-up on the muffler itself. Pretty pricey though. You should've just ordered a full system with piping and all.

did they installed the muffler bearings for you too? Make sure they did or you are going to get only around 11 MPG. It's located between the muffler and flux capacitors vacuum tubes.

Honestly this is a main reason for coming to these types of forums, doing your research, and finding out your options/resolutions. I think that most members of this site would look around and see what other exhaust choices are available and what members have done. Very few would then just choose to run to a chain shop and get screwed royally. Even fewer would then post about the $240 for a muffler job in which they aren't even sure of what they overpaid for. I will tell you that I think I paid $45 for my muffler with an online discount code. From there I went to a reputable exhaust shop by me that welded on a new pipe from the cat back to the muffler, then to the tip. That was another $75, which I thought was fair. I added my own custom tip which set me back another $29. So for roughly $150 I got the job done. I searched, found what I liked, and had the job handled. I know it's just the internet but the answers are almost always out there. Try Harder

Still pricier than AAP or Amazon(at least when they are in stock). I just ordered my JBA for ~$280 including shipping and tax. I may have gotten the last one of that stock. Otherwise, AAP has it for the same deal once you add the coupon code.

Actually AAP is the Big Better Deal! They have free shipping over $75. Then they also have another code (N42) that you can use to get a $25 coupon! After the purchase, they will email you a coupon for $25 for your next purchase over $50.

So you get the exahust kit for: $273.99
Shipping: Free
Coupon for next purchase: -$25
So your really paying: $248.01

Thanks T4R2014 for the discount code...dropped the price $50!! This is such a great price...but how is this exhaust system? I know it said its made of S/S...how does the muffler sound and fitment?? I have a 2000, but I believe that just means I'll have to shorten the long front end of the pipe...correct?

Thanks again
