If you are able to use the all metal key to start the vehicle then you don't have an immobilizer
So does this make my rig “less” secure than those with it?

In theory yes, but car thieves have ways to bypass the immobilizer system. The immobilizer system is an additional lock that has to be overcome by a thief in order to start your vehicle, but if someone wants your vehicle bad enough they will figure out a way. Even if that means taking it with a roll back flat bed.So does this make my rig “less” secure than those with it?
