replacing Radflo rear shock(s)

One of my rear Radflo shocks has gone bad. Of course, the warranty expired a month ago. So looking to replace both rear shocks with a diff brand. Looking for shocks compatible with 2.5" or 3" lift (I have All-Pro 3.5" springs to support CBI rear bumper).

Let me know what you have and if you're happy with 'em. So far, I've looked into:

Really, that's pretty normal.

All 120 platforms have the drivers side lean, much more noticeable when lifted.

No, this is new. When we jacked up the driver's side, the shock suddenly "popped" and lifted the truck. After lowering the jack, the truck was sitting even.
 
shocks shouldnt theoretically hold up the vehicle i thought. I would think maybe a damaged spring in the rear or something before a shock because of that much droop.

Well, the popping was from the shock. Also, when the shock is stuck downward, there is little shock absorption occurring.
 
I have been very happy with the Fox's. unfortunately I don't think the Allpro 8-way adjustable version I run is long enough, but they offer a longer non adjustable version. I have run Fox's on my last 2 trucks with very good results.
 
Check out the bilstein 5160s, they've got raving reviews for all sorts of terrain. Truck looks great, maybe i'll get mine detailed soon to get the paint back to high quality, kinda as yours appears to be haha:hail:

Maybe its something they do when they get worn out? I haven't heard of a lot of members having issues with their OLW kits to be honest... my 2.5" kit has been doing well so far...

Did you contact Radflo? I thought they had like a rebuild program, wonder how much it costs and if they swap shocks or something, like a core-charge?
 
Not sure what's up Jedi but your lack of lift on one side of the rear should not be related to the shock unless you're running coil overs back there.... ? As you well know, those rear shocks are not designed or intended to provide lift or support but merely to dampen motion. Sounds like what you're suspecting is that the shock is binding and not letting the rear end rise to the level that the spring wants it to be at.

Disconnect the rear shock(s) and see where she sets then.

I would definitely give Radflo a call if there is an issue. I've found them to be pretty helpful.

My latest saga...I sent my shock in to get rebuilt, they charged me $135. Went in to reinstall the shock...and the same issue occurred, the shock lost it's nitro charge when the car was lowered off the lift. Same issue as my first shock.

I've taken the issue up with the distributer, I'm hoping for a resolution.

Going through my old threads and realized I had not replied to this. The 3.5" All-Pro Offroad springs are what provide the lift. The left rear shock was holding the truck down. I had Radflo rebuild both rear shocks and now the truck is sitting fine.
