Replacing Seat Back Frame

So, if you 2010-2011 owners remember 5-6 years ago, a TSB was issued for lumbar support "crunching", and we were able to get it replaced with the TSB attached. Recently, I had my lumbar support just cave in on me while driving (I'm at 95k in a 2010 SR5). Dealer replaced the switch, said the motor functions, but the seat back frame (which I believe contains the spring assembly) needs to be replaced (Part #71640-35060, if you'll notice, it's the same as in the old TSB).

Near $1k for parts and labor at my stealership. Part diagram attached as well, you can see the frame as 71640S.

I'm trying to stay on top of things so that the little things don't start adding up as my T4R reaches adolescence, but this seems a bit spicy for my neophyte skills.

I couldn't find much on search other than the old TSB posts, does anyone have any experience replacing the frame?

Wow. 5yrs and no one had any love for this post.

Well Thank you for putting up the part number. The frame on my 97 driver side seat kinda crumpled and I'm on here looking for answers.

This is a good start.

I have a 2011 and didn't know about this TSB! My lumbar does make a crunching noise from what I remember, I don't adjust it often. I wonder if it is still eligible for replacement, I'm the original owner.
