hey guys gotta 98 limited and wanted to replace the stock tweeters. anyone have a diagram on how to remove the housing and stuff. Also, how would i go about adding addition pair of tweeters to front and back seats, meaning where would the wires be connected to, the speaker wires?

thanks in advance

Tweeter cover's snap off. The connection runs down the door to the speaker mount at the bottom and plugs in there.

yes upgrading your tweeters will make a difference in SQ as long as you get the right brand and have your audio setup right. look at a site like www.caraudio.com
From there they have sites that have good deals and such.

Could we get some for info about replacing Tweeters?

What size tweeters are used in the 3rd gens?

Maybe move this thread in the audio forum?

Check with your local car stereo joint, there is a kit from JL Audio that is replacement for all speakers and you can add a 10" sub in the rear that looks factory.

The tweeter covers remove by pulling the top out to undo the pressure clip and then lifting up. I replaced mine with a Polk component set, mounted the crossover directly above the woofer and at an angle to clear door panel. To mount the tweeter I removed the old one and used the factory brackets with 3m VHB tape, or 3m emblem tape, best stuff ever made for joining two items without screws. Made a big difference in sound /high end) even with the factory head unit. Someday I will go with a double din dvd or gps with an amp. Sounds great other then no thumping bass.
