Resetting Trip A mpg without resetting trip B 2014 SR5

I'am trying to figure out if it is possible to reset my tripA mpg without resetting the mpg on tripB. I want to be able to have one trip as a running average, as on a vacation and the other as a normal each tank mpg readout. My dealer says this is not possible which I find hard to believe as my last 2 hondas had this feature. Any help would be much appreciated.

No such luck. There is only one MPG display, and it isn't tied into the trip odometers. You'll need to carry a little notebook or something to record your fuel and mileage data.

Of course you can only reset one at a time. When you have the trip meter (A or B) that you want to reset displayed, just pressed down the reset button until it resets. It should only reset the meter that is on display, not both.

MPG. I had to re-read his post to make sure I understood. You have 2 ways of looking at your MPG. Trip or overall average which is displayed as digits (17.9). And one that gives you instant MPG as a bar graph. I try to reset my trip average every tank. But I'm OCD about things like that.

[MENTION=2869]gbarr[/MENTION], I also run a free app on my iPhone named GasCubby. It allows you to track your mpg tank by tank. You can also track your scheduled maintenance on it. It's a pretty good app if you can remind yourself to keep up with it each time you gas up. It even allows for only partial fill ups so you don't have to worry about filling the tank completely each time. This would allow you to set your 4R for an overall average and use the app for a tank by tank average. The app will also keep an overall average for you over the life of its use.

Had 2 different trip meters on my Superduty. Definitely miss them. Currently use my trip A in between fuel stops and only reset the B after each oil change/maintenance.

You could also look into a Scangauge. Couple of threads on them in the forum. Plugs into the OBDII port and monitors various different parameters and also has trip odometers that will break things down to cost per mile even.

I think you guys read too much into his comment about MPG as his true question was how to reset the 'A' trip meter. He posted his question in another thread as well, simply asking about the trip and leaving out the MPG part. I chose to reply here and not hijack the other thread.

I have a 2014 sr5 that only has the clock in the display above the radio just like yours. My question to you is this, do you know if there is a way to reset one trip (A) mpg without affecting the trip (B) mpg. Iam trying to do a running average of mpg on trip a while resetting trip b mpg every tank?
I don't know where else to ask this question on this forum as iam a new member

then I misread that post obviously, but I assumed he wanted to use the trip meters to manually calculate the mpg, just didn't know how to reset them. I assume that anyone who has driven a car before knows that the trip meters are nothing but mileage counters that can be reset. It would be nice if the op came back to clarify.

I read it as he was asking if there was a MPG meter for both trip A and trip B which could be reset individually. My SR5 only has 1 MPG meter and doesn't give the option of trip MPG and average MPG for life of the vehicle.
