Ok so I don't know if anyone else has done this...
I couldn't find any posts in a 5th Gen 4runner with reverse camera on NAV screen. So here ya go ..
sorry about the pictures, I only took pictures of the back of the radio ... so i will try to explain where all the wires go after you solder them inline on the wire harness.
You will need wire solder and iron and a IN4004 Diode which makes it so the reverse lights don't come on when you flip your switch. Also you will need a switch SPST preferred.
Remove the lower half of the climate control knobs by pulling at the top where the upper 2 yellow tabs are. It takes a bit of pulling but should come off without breaking if you pull straight out!!

Next you will remove the 4 10mm bolts that hold the radio in place.

There are also 2 tabs at the top by the air vents. Just Pull straight out!

Next you will cut the red wire on the upper left side of the radio (looking at it connected to the car).

Solder in the IN4004 Rectifier Diode with the Silver end TOWARDS the radio.
Also notice the baby blue wire on the right side with the hole in it. We will be cutting that SOB in a min.

Next we will wire in line but on the radio side of the diode a wire that will be going to your switch
(there is a perfect switch location to the left of your fan speed knob right about where your right knee sits).

Back to the SOB Baby Blue wire. CUT IT!! then solder in another separate wire going to your switch location.
NO DIODE on this one. (if you were curious what the diode did .. it makes it so your reverse lights won't come on when you flip the switch, but they will come on when you are in reverse).

Here you have your 2 wires coming out the back of your radio. You can test your work by turning on your key and looking at your radio and touching the 2 wires together.
(make sure not to ground either wire out)!!
Nextly you can order any switch but i got mine here. Toyota Switches -Air On Board
the wire harness for these particular switches you will wire your 2 wires from your radio to the red yellow and green yellow.
Remember to test your switch before Driving on the road to insure your reverse lights are not on!
Let me know if you have any questions!!
