Well.... Here's the deal, body lift bumpers aren't moving lately. The setup to build these takes hours, so to build just 1 really adds to the cost. To be frank we're considering discounting the body lift bumpers all together so I'm sorry, but we just can't offer the body lift bumpers at a discount. We have 1x 2" front and rear here so they are included.
Ok, bla bla bla, I will do this though, if we can get a group of even 3 together we will build them.

That's strange, most people on here have a 1" BL compared to 2" or more.
Well if 2 other people want to order I'm in.

I'm thinking about ordering too with the holiday sale since they don't do group buys. If I wait for the Shrockworks spring group buy I might not get it until Aug. LOL

Not that I can actually tell you if that's good or bad but good old USofA steel makes me happier.

Thats what I mean, so many 1" BL's out there you'd think there was already a jig made for it. I'd hate to think my FB is undocumented! LOL

- 1" BL
- 1 jerry can holder
- hi-lift mount
- fold down table

Well after some shipping complications due to the shipping company, my bumper arrived today. Stoked on this thing. Swing out got here last week and is all painted up. Hopefully painting the bumper tomorrow and getting that thing installed.

Question:

What ride height are you guys sitting at front and rear now that you have your swing outs on?

If you care to respond, please provide what suspension / coils you are running and some hub to fender measurements.

I am currently sitting at about 22" front and 24" rear. I have King 2.5 extended coilovers up front with 600# springs, with ARB / OME 861's in the rear with Tokico black shocks.

Think I might raise the front up an inch. I don't want to be be level, but maybe just a bit more height.

Well I picked up a bumper, swing arm tire carrier and jerry can mount during the Thanksgiving sale. I got it before Xmas but wasn't able to install the rear bumper until last week.

It's solid and fits the 4Runner great.

I went to install the swing arm tire carrier today and I sheared the 3/8" bolt when attempting to install the carrier latch. FML. I was using a crescent wrench and it threads into a thread deforming locking nut. The bolt had to be bad b/c I refused to believe I snapped in half a grade 5 bolt that easily.

I'm going to have to drill the bolt out and then tap new threads into the hole as that's the only option.

I'll post pics when done. Super frustrated, but I still love the bumper and set up. I just wish it was installed already.

Unrelated to the bolt, but what did everyone use in order to press the bearings into the hinge barrel? I don't have a seal press tool.

ARB rear end with 4X rear bumper

Thanks for all the pics and comments. Very helpful. Im planning on ordering a 4x Innovations rear bumper soon. Question on the rear suspension and the xtra weight? I'm running ARB 2890 rear coils medium and ARB 60028 rear shocks. Id like to know from you all how do these compare to the 861's?

4x innovations rear bumper review

Okay I did some research, I'm a little frustrated. Last year when I was preparing my suspension for a rear bumper ARB USA recommended a 2890 coil. In 2017 it was rated for constant load 250 KGS (550lbs). It gave me a 3" lift and I'm very happy with it. As of March 2018 they rate as just medium load.
SO now I'm concerned it will not handle a 4X innovations 200lb rear bumper with tire swing out etc. I had a buddy who weighs 200 lbs stand on the rear bumper and I lost 1/2". I can live with that, but...
IS anyone running ARB/OME 2890 with an off-road/aftermarket rear bumper?

I want to order a 4x innovations rear bumper but now I'm wondering if my coils can handle the load.

ARB USA stepped up!

Follow up from my last post.
After talking with ARB USA tech dept they stepped up. I was able to provide them documentation from OME/2017 that mis quoted the 2890 coils abilities and I was able to produce a receipt of my purchase. They sent me a pair of 2891's free of charge.
I appreciate that level of customer service! Still have to pay to reinstall new coils but could be worse.
I ordered my 4x Innovations rear bumper with tire swing out, jerry can holder and hi-jack lift holder. It should be shipped out this week(fingers crossed).
I also ordered the Sonoran Steel rear body mounts.
Hopefully all will go in without a problem.

How are your 891's holding up? Most people go with 861's for rear plate/swingout bumpers. Thats very cool of ARB!

The KC 519's look like they'd fit the bill. They aren't a ton cheaper but can be gotten for a reasonable price if you look around.

I am very satisfied with the 891's so far. Also the 4x innovations rear bumper with tire swing out ... is great! I highly recommend this bumper. Very sturdy, install was straight forward. Also happy with the Sonoran steel body mounts!

I'll link this here, My setup doesn't address any of the stock suspension sag or weight. My rear is different.I'm more than happy with it. today I drug around Pallets of block each weighing about 2K using a tow strap and the recovery points on the bumper, and it didn't budge.

I'm wondering if you'd consider adding side hoops on this to protect the rear quarters? I was planning on adding some 1" square along the side, but thought I'd ask first to see if it could be added before purchase? I've got your front bumper and just love your product line all around.

I did the light buckets and bought some combo lights. wired in backups, brakes and turns/E flashers into the bumper.
you can see them in my install thread. They work well, and eliminate the right side issue.

If you opt for those lights you'll have to grind the tops and bottoms to fit the hole.
